Microsoft unveiled the next Windows on Tuesday – Windows 8.
It will run on touchscreen tablet computers as well as on traditional laptop and desktop computers, and will be released in 2012.
Microsoft also announced that it will launch the Windows Store – an online marketplace – to sell the application.
This move is one more step away from the dominance of the traditional laptop and desktop PC, and a further sign of the growth of using computers, the internet and social media on the move.
