Getting to know Daniel:
I was born in and grew up around Grantham, Lincolnshire. My Dad, being from the Northeast, introduced me to Sunderland AFC right when they were going through a purple patch (Kevin Phillips and Niall Quinn era for any football fans reading this) and I caught the love for the club, but let’s say they’ve made my character more resilient through my adult years. I’ve always enjoyed building with Lego and have never been afraid to take things apart, figure out how they work and put them back together with reasonable success. I’m also a huge advocate of new music, after performing in bands, releasing numerous albums and booking tours in the UK and Europe. I met my wife early in 2020, and we’ve been building a life in Lincolnshire with our three cats ever since.
Work History:
Prior to joining DBS Digital, I’d got my degree in Music Production and Sound Technology and was trying forge a career in the industry. I started at a TV studio where we’d make promotional videos, short shows on YouTube for our clients and a small amount of digital marketing on the side. I also ran my own record label which at its peak represented 10 artists in the UK and Ireland. Both roles gave me the bug for digital marketing and when my role at DBS Digital came about in 2015, I grabbed it with both hands.
What’s your favourite thing about working at DBS:
Earning the trust and confidence of our clients from the results of our digital marketing campaigns is a source of pride. I get such a buzz from the team developing and running successful marketing strategies, and that keeps me coming back for more.
